Setlist answers one question: where is this DJ playing next?
It covers Nairobi. You search an artist, you see their upcoming dates, and you can subscribe to be told when new ones are announced. The search runs over a catalogue of around 500 artists, so it returns real results rather than an empty state.
How it works
- Next.js front end, deployed on Vercel.
- Supabase for data and auth, with row-level security policies on all 15 tables — every read and write is checked at the database, not just in application code.
- Web push notifications for the follow feature, so an alert reaches you without the site being open.
The row-level security work is the part worth calling out. Getting policies right on every table means the API surface can't leak another user's follows or a promoter's unpublished dates even if the front end asks for them.
