Just Do It

A personal productivity app that works fully offline, with no account required.

Just Do It is a task app I built for myself. The thing I cared about was that it should still work when the network doesn't.

Open it without signing in and it works completely. Tasks are kept locally and the app is fully usable. If you do sign in, the sync layer takes over — and when sync is unavailable it falls back to local state rather than throwing an error at you. The offline path isn't a degraded mode bolted on afterwards; it's the default path, and the one a visitor will land on.

Stack

The API runs on Cloudflare Workers with D1 for storage, and authentication is handled by Clerk. The front end is React on Vite.

Tests

  • 719 application tests across 44 files
  • 31 worker tests covering the API

That coverage is what made the offline-first behaviour safe to rely on — the failure modes around sync are the easy place for a bug to hide, and they're the ones most explicitly tested.

Open Just Do It — no sign-up needed.
